PROJECT PACKAGE

Project piping package: the whole bill of materials, one contact

Tube, fittings, flanges and bar from the same project bill of materials, coordinated through a single contact: sourced from partner stock for the everyday lines, bought at the mill for the volumes, with a shared schedule and a shared document set.

Who is the project piping package for?

Projects — sites, skids, plant extensions — whose bill of materials mixes several products and several grades, with everyday lines to source quickly and volumes to plan ahead. Rather than running those two logics separately, they are coordinated in one follow-up.

What does the package cover?

Welded and seamless tube, fittings, flanges, bar and rounds — all grades, from everyday 304L/316L to rare grades. The split between partner stock and mill purchase is decided line by line, according to the volume and the deadline of each.

How does a project run, from bill of materials to delivery?

  1. Receiving the bill of materials. Each line is analysed to establish grade, size, quantity and expected deadline.
  2. Splitting between partner stock and mill. Everyday lines are covered from partner stock, volumes and rare grades planned at the mill — line by line, according to the volume and deadline of each.
  3. Production and supply follow-up. SPS provides a consolidated schedule across all items, rather than a single delivery date.
  4. Document consolidation. Material certificates, heat traceability and Melt & Pour origin documentation are gathered for the project as a whole.
  5. Delivery. Coordinated to the project schedule, line by line or in one go, whichever suits the site.

What documents and certificates do you supply?

The EN 10204 3.1 material certificate as standard, the 3.2 on request, heat traceability and Melt & Pour origin documentation — consolidated for the project as a whole rather than line by line.

Frequently asked questions

Does the project package replace distribution and mill representation?
No: it combines the two levers on one project bill of materials, rather than playing them off line by line.
What size of project is this for?
No minimum bill of materials or tonnage: the format earns its place as soon as a project combines several items to coordinate, whatever its size.
Do you provide a single delivery schedule?
SPS provides a consolidated schedule across all items of the project, rather than a single delivery date covering the whole bill of materials.
